
N. Anand, popularly known as Bussy Anand, is a prominent Indian politician and the General Secretary of the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), the political party founded by actor-turned-politician Vijay.
Political Career & Background
Former MLA: He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Bussy constituency in Puducherry, winning the election in 2006. His nickname “Bussy” comes from this constituency.
TVK Leadership: Appointed as General Secretary in February 2024, he is considered Vijay’s most trusted aide and is often described as the “second-in-command” or the organizational backbone of the TVK.
Welfare Roots: Before taking on a formal political role in TVK, he led the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (Vijay’s fan/welfare association) for many years, helping transform it into a significant political force.
